Comments: This ever popular model from MG is generally in a good order, after having considerable rebuilding, reconditioning and much overhaul work carried out.
Classic Assessments task was to assess the vehicle’s true value for the owner and the insurance company.
The vehicle was on the whole a good example, but one or two areas required improvements.
My opinion was a little different from the owner’s, who had spent a fortune on the project. Unfortunately, on old cars what you spend doesn’t often reflect the vehicle’s true value if it was either for sale or in a ‘write-off’ situation.
Eventually, an agreement was made and the vehicle is now realistically valued for the owner.
